The girls and I left Ryan at home and drove the 6 hours to California to see the family and be a part of the birthday party for Samuel and Eliyah (their cousins).  While we were there, we all got our hair cut, went to the pool at Marisa's apartment, and went to the zoo.  The pool was pretty cold, so we just put our feet in.
