One of my friends, Justin Hackworth, is a wonderful photographer. He wanted to take bridal pictures of me, and if I signed a model release form that allowed him to use my pictures however he wanted, then he would give me all of the pictures he took for free. So, a year after my wedding, I got into my wedding dress and took some more beautiful pictures. Here are a few for you to look at...

Mount Timpanogos

Last summer Ryan and I hiked Mt. Timp. Just so everybody knows the real reason why we hiked it, I will explain: Ryan kept wanting me to hike it with him since the summer before ('05), but I kept saying no. Ryan was a little upset about it, but life went on. One day I came home surprised at myself because I suddenly felt the urge to go! Ryan didn't believe me until I said, "If we don't go tomorrow, I don't think I will ever want to go again." So, the next day, we hiked it. I can't say I will do it again, but I did have some good experiences.... I was doing pretty well, until I hit a point where I had had enough hiking uphill. I cried near the end because the last stretch was very hard for me, and I didn't want to keep hiking. But Ryan insisted that we make it to the tip top. When we finally made it, I was relieved. Little did I know that we were going to go down a very large glacier! I didn't want to go down, but I did because it meant we would get down the mountain quicker and that we wouldn't have to walk down the steep sections we had to hike up. Let's just say, my pants were ripped and I cried all the way down with pain since my butt did not have any cushion from the freezing ice and bumps. My hands were frost bitten up until that night when I went to bed. I took many pictures, but when I returned home, I had found that many of them were missing such as the ones of the mountain goats we saw and the full-view shot of how big the glacier really was. From then on, I learned to check my camera after taking pictures! Other than that, I think the trip was a success!

Christmas 2008

This is our cute nephew, Byron Johnson. We got to hang out with Cary and Sarah while we were in California. They were in Yorba Linda visiting Sarah's parents for Christmas.
We visited my sister Evy and her husband Erick in San Diego a couple of times. We went downtown and Ryan and I took pictures at Petco Park.

My parents, Ryan, and I went to the beach to ride bikes. It was a beautiful day, and Ryan and my dad even went out into the freezing cold water!

We opened up the stockings at my parents house Christmas morning, and then we packed up all of our presents into the car and went to San Diego to spend the rest of Christmas with Evy. She provided brunch, which was very good! We opened presents, and then Ryan and I went to the park to play with my new glove he bought me for Christmas!
We went dirt biking with my parents. We have some friends that own these dirt bikes, so we were able to join them for a day! It was a bunch of fun.

This was from our first year anniversary at Brian Head. We biked (or Ryan biked while I walked) up this hill. It sure was a beautiful view! We will also show more later!

The Reason Why I Am a Blogger...

Ryan has a sister-in-law that uses a blog page to keep family and friends up to date on their happenings. It has quite a few pictures and "postings" about their little family, specifically their 2 little boys. One day, Ryan was looking at their blog page, and enjoying it so much that he turned to look at me and said, "Are you going to do something like this for us, too?"
