Kindergarten and more

Emily was so excited to start Kindergarten and loves it. She is also doing soccer this semester instead of ballet. Audrey however wanted to stick with the ballet and tap rather than try soccer. She's not quite there yet so this will be good for her.

Here's Katelyn having fun in her makeshift hideout. One thing she likes to do is hide when its time to do something like bath, bed or diaper change.

Hot Weather

The girls spent a lot of time at the splash pad and swimming pools. Emily has learned how to swim on her own and Audrey is getting a little more brave. Katelyn is fearless and loves to be outside.

Audrey decided she was done with bangs so she is going to have to live with trying to keep them out of her face for the next several months.

Fourth of July Weekend

We went on two vacations over the 4th of July week. First we went and visited Grandma Disner and the Paulinos in San Antonio and then we went to Cushing for the last half . We had fun doing fishing, horseback riding, four wheelers, fireworks and hanging out. Here are some pictures and videos below.

The girls love the snacks and candy Grandpa provides. Emily has learned pretty good the right way to eat sunflower seeds.

Houston Rain

In Houston, when it Rains, it Pours.  I am still getting used to how much it rains here....And not only that, you don't always know when it is coming!  I can't count on the weather reports...  Anyways, these girls had fun splashing in the rain...

Audrey's 4th Birthday

Her actual birthday was on June 12th, on a Thursday.  We went to the library, when to her friends house and made personal pizzas.  She felt special because I made her waffles for breakfast, painted her toe nails, and she got to put on make-up.  We also went out to dinner to the place of her choice: Culver's.  On Saturday, she got to go swimming with her cousins, Dean and Evan.  We also opened gifts and had dinner with her cousins.  Mommy also made her what she wanted: Strawberry cupcakes.

You had to be there to really think this is funny, but when Ryan lit the candles she IMMEDIATELY blew out the candles before we even started singing to her. Then, when Ryan lit them the second time, she was about to blow them out again before we sang, but as you can see in the video, I stopped her!  You had to be there!

Easter 2014

For Easter this year we spent a few days in Cushing. The weather was nice and we were able to ride the horse, paddle boat on the pond, ride the 4-wheeler's, fish etc. I even went camping for the first time with Emily and Audrey. Anne and Katelyn we're up to it yet but we had a nice campfire in the evening two of the nights we were there. Aaron, Dean and Evan also were with us but they weren't ready yet for camping. Here are some pictures:

Anne's a great horse walker

Emily and Audrey enjoyed helping put up the tent. Katelyn just had fun sitting and watching with her snacks.

Emily and Audrey slept really well in the tent which was surprising to me. For me it was a little chilly and the coyotes and other noises (not sure what animals are out there) woke me up a few times. Maybe I need more experience.

Easter is always fun for Emily and Audrey. They love candy which means Easter, Christmas and Halloween are the best holidays.

We went to church with Grandpa and Grandma and then came back home to start anew.

Easter Activity

Yesterday the neighborhood had an event with Easter egg hunts for various age groups and other fun activities such as rides, petting zoo, etc. Here are a few pictures and videos.

I thought I'd add this as I was going through the pictures. Katelyn decided to join Emily and Audrey in the bath even though she had already taken hers and was in her pajamas.

Temple Visit

Last Saturday we went to have a picnic on the temple grounds. It was a beautiful day. Here are a few pictures.

Houston Zoo and more Christmas, too!

We got passes to the zoo a couple days before Christmas.  We had a blast!

We forgot to post these cute pictures of Christmas!  They LOVED the chef costume more than I thought they would!  Thanks Michael and Nora for making their Christmas special!

This picture isn't the best, but notice how I had to do her hair just like her American doll--a side ponytail!!!
