Christmas 2012

Last Saturday I took Emily and Audrey up to Pine Valley which is about 30 minutes north to see some snow since Emily has been talking about it for awhile. I didn't find a very good spot to go sledding but we had fun anyways. Audrey was finished sooner than Emily but we enjoyed the trip. Christmas

The girls were really excited for Christmas. They woke up at 8 o'clock and came in our room letting us know Santa had come. Here are a few pictures and videos of the morning.

Christmas Season

Last Saturday our Ward did a breakfast with Santa. Emily and Audrey were really excited to go. Emily has her list memorized. Upon arrival Audrey decided she wasn't as excited as she was earlier and didn't want to sit on Santa's lap. Emily however got two rounds with Santa, once upon arrival and another after eating a donut and orange juice.

On Sunday we took some family pictures as Grandma Disner was in town. Here are a couple of the girls.

Baby Pictures

As an update to an earlier post, we decided to go with Katelyn as opposed to Kaitlyn. I didn't feel good about the way I originally wanted to spell it so we made the change. Here are a few more pictures.

Swing Set

We were given a used swing set a few weeks ago and Emily and Audrey love to go out and play on it. Here are a few pictures. I working on clearing out an area for it so they aren't on the rocks but they haven't been deterred yet.

Kaitlyn Johnson

Kaitlyn Johnson was born at 5:35 a.m. on Friday the 23rd. She was 5 lbs 13 oz and 19 inches long. The doctors determined she had some breathing issues so they admitted her to the NICU a couple hours after birth. Anne came home Saturday night as opposed to the morning since Emily came down with a fever in the morning.

This morning they removed the breathing tube things so she will hopefully be able to feed normally today and come home either tomorrow or the next day. We will see if she does well enough to stay off of the assistance.

Emily's Ballet Class

This past week, Emily had a parent's day for ballet.  They don't have a recital until next year, so they allow parents to come to a class and observe.  Ryan, or course had a blast watching!  Good thing it was only a half hour long.  I thought it was cute, and was really proud of her!

 Emily and her friend Emmy.

And I thought I might add a photo of me at 35 weeks.

Happy Halloween!

They had a BLAST getting dressed up!  The make-up was their favorite part.  Emily wanted to stare at herself forever, and wanted to reapply her lipstick often.  Audrey of course didn't keep the jewelry or crown on, but Emily wore hers all afternoon and evening!  Daddy took them out for about an hour and a half, while I stayed home and passed out candy!

October

This last week of October has been quite eventful.  While the girls got to wait up for their daddy to come home from being out of town, they enjoyed a night of dress-up.  Emily got pretty creative and was a pirate raccoon princess.  I thought they looked cute.

Audrey and Emily enjoyed going on a hike with Daddy this past Saturday evening.

We went to the Staheli Farm pumpkin patch this past Friday evening, and then went out to dinner.  They both enjoyed the "horse" swings.  Although they both tried the corn slide, Emily ended up going many times after.  Audrey was okay with one time!

They also had a blast on the jumping pillow with daddy.

We finally carved our pumpkin now that daddy is back in town with us!  I drew the design from an idea online, and daddy carved it.  The girls didn't want to participate with cleaning the pumpkin out, so they enjoyed some hot chocolate while we did the work.  We also enjoyed eating the traditional roasted pumpkin seeds afterwards.

Emily's 4th Birthday Party!

We had Emily's 4th birthday party yesterday.  My mom and my sister Marisa came on Thursday.  Friday morning, Emily and Audrey woke up to see her first birthday gift: a doll house.  My mom brought that with her as her gift.  They have already spent hours each day playing with it!

Then on Saturday, we had a princess tea party.  We let the little girls put on their own make-up!  All of them LOVED it!

After putting on their make-up, we had them all take pictures in front of the castle, that was given to me to use.

Now, it was tea time!  They all sat at the table and were able to serve themselves their own food and tea (apple juice).  I regret not taking pictures of the cute little sandwiches!  The adults also were able to enjoy some yummy food and herbal tea.  My mom brought cute cups and plates with her!
Then, we sang Happy Birthday, ate cupcakes, and opened presents.
 Love the make-up!

We ended the party with a couple of games, but that wasn't the end for Emily!  When everyone left, she had us open up all of her gifts to play with.  We all took naps while she played!  All in all, the party was a blast, and I couldn't have done it without my mom and sister!  They did it all!  Ryan also did a great job with the tables and castle!
